The estimation of quantitative and functional indicators of neutrophils of peripheral blood at sportsmen-basketball players of two age groups at various stages of the competitive period is spent. Decrease during the period of absolute quantity at neutrophils, significant increase in them is shown activity of the myeloperoxidase and decrease in activity of hydrolytic enzymes (acid phosphatase and alkaline phos-phatase), the most expressed in the senior age group.
